Dior Amber Diamond

I finally coughed up the dough and purchased Dior Amber Diamond, let me tell you it wasn't easy debating what diamond to get ( I feel like Kim K typing that, if only eh) but I decided the Rose Diamond may be too pink to be a highlighter and may be best suited as a blush?

Dior Amber Diamond is a beautiful product and I just love Dior's packaging it always feels so luxurious especially the little velvet pouch you get to house the product in. I always feel smug when I buy something from Dior mainly because I've survived the mean ladies at the counter!

Amber Diamond is made up of five complimentary bronze shades that can be used together or swirled together to form a a light bronze shade. In my swatches the swirled together shade is the 1st shade on the left.

The shades take a little building up to get some decent swatches (I swatched these on my cousin who is a NC20 for reference) but as it is meant to be a highlighter over powering shades would look wrong. I'd imagine you could also use the five shades as eyeshadows.

The powder itself is silky soft and finely milled so it applies like a dream, it gives the loveliest glow to the cheekbones and really compliments a pinky bronze blush like MAC Sunbasque, if you're one of those gals who loves bronzer then this is the highlighter for you!

I have used this everyday since I got it last week and think i'm on to a winner, it will most likely be my summer highlighter.

Do you own this or the Rose version? What is your favourite highlighting powder?

  3. I got this as a replacement for Topshop's Sunbeam highlighter (which is £9!) and I am so in love with it. I've just about run out so need to re-purchase but I've worn it everyday since September when I bought it. I blend it with Mac's Sweet as Cocoa and it's so beautiful. Love, love, love it!

  9. I just bought this on Thursday... so far so good and I like it. I think I'll get a lot of wear out of it... mostly because it's so expensive that I'm going to make sure I get my money's worth from it!

It was also my first CD purchase... I felt very grown up buying it, haha!

    Tx
